Tuesday Testimonies – Judy Jenkins

As we travel on our spiritual journey, it’s always encouraging to hear from others how God has worked in their lives. Periodically we’ll share testimonies from our NAOBC Women on how God worked in their life. Today’s testimony is from Judy Jenkins.

Judy and her husband, Gary, have been members since 2019 and are in the AC3 BFG. She enjoys serving at the Preschool Check-in Desk meeting so many of our families. You can read more about her here.

Life happens in the present day to day life.

Just like 2023 is mostly gone, I thought of a quote from CS Lewis.

“You can’t go back and change the beginning but you can start where you are and change the ending.”

Hebrews 13:5-8, guides me as new challenges face my husband and I each day. Thankfully Jesus Christ does not change, nor does He leave us!

We are at the stage of life where each day brings new issues and we wonder how are we going to navigate these issues? Such as when certain medicines and procedures by law say my husband cannot drive until his doctor says he can! How do I get a very bent body behind a stirring wheel of the car to be a chauffeur?

How do you tell your spouse I no longer remember for sure where to place things in the pantry? Or did I remember to update my calendar for upcoming doctor’s appointments?

From this viewpoint in life, so many challenges in my past seem so easy now. We are finding God is present in all of life’s situations no matter the issue or age. John 16:33 Take heart; “I have overcome the world”. As a Believer in Jesus Christ, filled with His Holy Spirit, we know that our ending will be pleasing to God the Father no matter what may come our way.
