Tuesday Testimonies – Ashlie Ncube
As we travel on our spiritual journey, it’s always encouraging to hear from others how God has worked in their lives. Periodically we’ll share testimonies from our NAOBC Women on how God worked in their life. Today’s testimony is from Ashlie Ncube.
Ashlie has been a member of NAOBC since 2021. She is active in the Ladies’ BFG, and her husband, Mlu, is active in the Men’s BFG. They have one son, Obadiah. You can read more about Ashlie here.

The LORD has been faithful, kind, and loving to me and it is hard to decide what to share. By the will of God I am a Christian. “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places” (Ephesians 1:3). God adopted me as his daughter through Jesus Christ.
The LORD has shown His kindness to me as he continues to sanctify me. He has faithfully walked with me, disciplined me, and restored me. There are three specific times that he absolutely changed my life with his rod. (Psalm 23:4) I am comforted by the rod and staff of the LORD, our Shepherd.
Our kind Shepherd also leads me, always through his Word. He teaches me about His holiness and goodness. He faithfully leads me through increasingly difficult paths when I only survived through Him. For the LORD’s glory, He has delivered me from hopelessness and despair in magnificent ways, one of which includes the way in which he has protected and brought Obadiah into the world. God has used the faithful prayers of the saints, including many of you, to orchestrate His perfect plans in my family’s lives and in in my life.
Because of this new life, I pursue holiness with the help of the LORD through prayer and the study of His Word working to grow in love and faithfulness to Him. Walking with you, my family in corporate worship and fellowship have been vital for my spiritual health. Serving my family, the church, and friends I hope to point myself and others to the LORD who gives us hope.
I would be glad to share stories of God’s faithfulness through discipline, kindness, and shepherding if you ever have the time. All you have to do is ask!
My testimony is this: Jesus Christ is Lord and He saves miserable sinners like me, making us who were dead in sin, alive in Christ.
I am glad to call you family!
