NAOBC For Life Spotlight – Christa Blair
When you are a member at NAOBC, no matter where God takes you, the love for NAOBC remains. It’s part of your DNA. Periodically we’ll spotlight women who were former members – see where they are today and what NAOBC means to them. Today we’re meeting Christa Blair
Q: Tell a little about yourself – family, occupation (if applicable), etc.
A: My loving husband, Chris and I have been married for 12 1/2 yrs. Our imaginative and rambunctious son, Joshua, is seven and a half years old. We have two beautiful children whom we anticipate meeting in heaven and we have a very loving beagle-mix named Davina (a.k.a Diva). For the last 10 years, ministry has moved us in and around the Louisville area but we recently moved to Cookeville, TN, where Chris is a Hospice Chaplain and I have begun a new career in Human Resources at Tennessee Technological University.
Q: When did you attend NAOBC? What brought you to NAOBC?
A: When I became a member at NAOBC in 2006, I had graduated from the School of Music at SBTS and was working as an Administrative Assistant at Louisville’s local Baptist Association, LRBA. Some of my friends were already attending NAOBC. I loved the sound, biblical teaching, the welcoming and worshipful environment, and the activeness of the church in its surrounding community.

Q: Where did you serve while at NAOBC?
A: I was a member of the choir and also served on the praise teams. There were so many amazing worship leaders and musicians. It was worshipful just to practice with them. I was also active with the singles groups.
Q: What memory from your time at NAOBC means the most to you still today?
A: I cannot name just one. There are too many to count. Campfires, meals, small group bible study & discussions, Women Conferences, and Worship Nights. Each one was significant to my emotional and spiritual wellbeing. Oh wait! I met my husband!! Haha! Very important!
Q: What is one thing you loved about NAOBC?
A: I loved the availability and authenticity of the women of NAOBC. Jaylynn Cook, Renee Elieff, Jessica Joslin and Rose Booth. They are such great mentors. When I spoke to these women, I knew they cared. They always spoke Christ to me and still do. Love you all.
