NAOBC For Life Spotlight – Kelly Herre
When you are a member at NAOBC, no matter where God takes you, the love for NAOBC remains. It’s part of your DNA. Periodically we’ll spotlight women who were former members – see where they are today and what NAOBC means to them. Today we’re meeting Kelly Herre.
Q: Tell a little about yourself – family, occupation (if applicable), etc.
A: I am happily married to Dave and have 3 children (Antheney, 14; Caleb, 12; Rachel, 9). Dave is the pastor of our church and I work part-time for the church and I also assist my sister who is a real estate appraiser in St. Louis, MO.
Q: When did you attend NAOBC? What brought you to NAOBC?
A: I attended NAOBC from 2002-2007…All of my friends went to NAOBC and so I joined the crew full-time after having attended Wednesday and Sunday evenings for about a year.

Q: Where did you serve while at NAOBC?
A: I served in the singles ministry alongside my husband and also served in the nursery.
Q: What memory from your time at NAOBC means the most to you still today?
A. I loved our ABF! (The former name of our current BFGs) It was such a tight group of folks. I loved the friendships but I also clearly remember studying Hebrews (Barry Joslin wrote all of the studies) and my understanding and appreciation of that book deepening. I also loved Sunday night worship and Dr. Cook’s “High Priestly Prayers”…it was always a joke that he prayed so long BUT I really enjoyed those prayers.
Q: What is one thing you loved about NAOBC?
A: I really enjoyed that though NAOBC is a larger church, there were opportunities for me to get to know people outside of my immediate age group.
