NAOBC For Life Spotlight – Candi Oldfield

When you are a member at NAOBC, no matter where God takes you, the love for NAOBC remains. It’s part of your DNA. Periodically we’ll spotlight women who were former members – see where they are today and what NAOBC means to them. Today we’re meeting Candi Oldfield.

Q: Tell a little about yourself – family, occupation (if applicable), etc.

A: My husband is Christopher Oldfield and we have 3 kids, Addison 14, David 7, and Eric 3. I am a stay-at-home Mom but I am learning art and have opened a Redbubble store. I love to watercolor and work on digital art. We currently live in Clearwater, FL, and are loving the weather and the blue skies.

Q: When did you attend NAOBC? What brought you to NAOBC?

A: We attended NAOBC for only a few years. Around 2013-2017 or so – I’m terrible at dates, so thats probably off a bit. We attended NAOBC on the advice of a previous friend who also happens to be a Pastor. He directed us there due to the solid biblical teaching and family environment.

Q: Where did you serve while at NAOBC?

A: I served in VBS, childrens ministry, and as a TNT Leader in AWANA.

Q: What memory from your time at NAOBC means the most to you still today?

A: The solid teaching is what my memories hold most for me. And the fact that my daughter had incredible teaching in her classes, learning much more than what a typical Bible study would offer. She has been commended multiple times on how much biblical knowledge she has. We benefited greatly from the solid teaching and amazing leadership.

Q: What is one thing you loved about NAOBC?

A: You, the people, the true hearted Christians who invested in us and are still our friends today. We miss you all.

We now have an amazing church family in Clearwater, Florida, and have based nearly all of our church standards on the biblical base that you taught us. We looked for a church with strong footing, strong ties, heavily planted in the bible, and with staff that care and people who truly are the feet and hands of Christ. You are remembered fondly and will always be a part of our family. Thank you for allowing me to share my thoughts and feelings on our wonderful Louisville church family.
