NAOBC For Life Spotlight – Bethany Davis
When you are a member at NAOBC, no matter where God takes you, the love for NAOBC remains. It’s part of your DNA. Periodically we’ll spotlight women who were former members – see where they are today and what NAOBC means to them. Today we’re meeting Bethany Davis.
Q: Tell a little about yourself – family, occupation (if applicable), etc.
A: I am married to Kevin Davis and live in Ray City, GA where Kevin serves as the Associate Pastor to Families at FBC Ray City. We have two children: Kayla Grace (15) and Hannah Joy (13). I spend much of my time homeschooling our girls and working as a freelance contractor doing transcription.
Q: When did you attend NAOBC? What brought you to NAOBC?
A: I attended Ninth & O from around 1996 until 2009 when my husband graduated from the seminary, and we moved to Alabama for him to intern with his former pastor. While I was in college, my family decided to look for a new church. After visiting several churches, we decided to try Ninth & O. From our first visit there, I knew we had found our new church home. The people at Ninth & O exhibited a friendly, hospitable, and welcoming spirit. I knew this was the church that the Lord was leading us to join.

Q: Where did you serve while at NAOBC?
A: When I first started attending Ninth & O, I was active in the college department. Later, my husband and I taught the 2nd grade Sunday School class for several years. We also took pictures of each new member and kept the new member bulletin board updated.
Q: What memory from your time at NAOBC means the most to you still today?
A: I will never forget meeting my future husband at Ninth & O, and Tim and Vickie Lane working behind the scenes to get us together. I told them that I was interested in Kevin, and they went straight to work! About a year later, we were married at Ninth & O by Jeff Elieff, who has meant a lot to me over the years.
Q: What is one thing you loved about NAOBC?
A: I loved the people at Ninth & O. Everyone treated each other like family and worked to meet the needs of others. They showed mutual respect and love for each other, as I’m sure they still do today.
