Missions is a core value at our church for a reason. The work of missions matters to us because it matters to God, and we have been commanded to go and fulfill the Great Commission. We are excited to kick off Missions Week, which is 8 days of our church focusing on the Great Commission. We will be highlighting our church’s involvement with missions on two back-to-back Sundays with a week in between dedicated to prayer.
Missions Sunday – October 18 at 9:00 and 10:30 AM
- Missions Sunday will be a time where we discuss the importance of participating in the work of missions and explaining how to get involved in missions at our church.
- Syliva Hinton, who just completed the Journeyman Program through the IMB, will be sharing about her experience with our Student Ministry. Also, children are encouraged to stop by the Kid’s Station in the Lobby to pick up the Passport coloring book.
Week of Prayer – October 19–24
We can’t do missions without prayer. Without God’s work, our work would be in vain! That’s why Missions Week includes daily prayer meetings to pray for the Great Commission’s work happening around the globe. We will be gathering to pray together for missions efforts around the world, for the missionaries that our church has sent, and for the mission trips we will be sending out in 2027. Each BFG has a day they are encouraged to go, but anyone is welcome on any day. All sessions meet in Room 110.
