As a student ministry, we exists to glorify God in discipling 6th through 12th grade students in the grace and truth of Jesus Christ. Our prayers for every student in our ministry is modeled after Colossians 1:10. That every student walk in a manner pleasing to the Lord in obedience to His commands, show evidence of salvation and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, and grow in knowledge of God’s Word and ways.
Weekly Events
Sunday Morning Youth BFGs
On Sunday mornings our students come together in Bible Fellowship Groups (BFGs) for time of teaching, discussion, and discipleship. Students come together for one large group teaching time and then are split up in age and gender-based groups for discussion and discipleship. The lesson material mirrors the material being presented in many of our adult BFGs. Youth BFGs are offered during both morning worship services. Students are encouraged to sit in the worship service with their family and then participate in Youth BFGs the same service hour their parents go to adult BFGs.
Wednesday Night Youth Discipleship
On Wednesdays at 6:30, this is the time in our ministry that we focus on discipleship with students where students have specific adult leaders to act as spiritual mentors for them. There will be time for games, worship, teaching and discipleship. On Wednesday nights we will alternate between expositional series on specific books of the Bible or exegetically work through topics that our students may have questions about that are not addressed directly on a Sunday morning. Following the teaching, students break up into discipleship groups to talk about the lesson and also address the various issues that students face week to week.
Beginning on January 11, Wednesday Night Discipleship will return for the Spring semester. This semester we will be going through the book of James.
It is not required for students to register for Wednesday Night Youth Discipleship

Entering Middle School Phase Class
Parents of incoming sixth graders!
With Promotion Sunday is coming quickly (June 11), you will not want to miss our phase class for the parents of students entering middle school, thus entering the world of Student Ministry! This class is happening on June 4 during the 10:30 service in room 122.
The goal of this class is for parents to learn what they should expect from the Student Ministry. We will cover key questions like: What the Student Ministry is all about? What will your child will learn? What are the goals of the ministry? What will the calendar look like over the course of the year? And much more! It will also be a chance for me to meet some of you that will have students in the ministry for the first time and be a chance for you to ask questions about the student ministry and the student pastor.
As with any good Student Ministry event, there will be snacks! While it is not the typical pizza and Mt. Dew, we will have some light refreshments for you. You will not want to miss it! Even if you already have a student within the ministry, please come and attend to gain a deeper understanding of the Student Ministry.

Summer 2023 Events
- First, we love when our students are integrated in our larger church body and are encouraged to participate in the Sunday Night Worship Services.
- Second, if your student has both interest and aptitude towards worship ministry, be sure to register them for the Student Worship Training. More information and registration here.
- Lastly, we encourage our students to serve during the Sunday night worship service. Any students that would like to serve in nursery and/or preschool should reach out to Jessica Kratzer or Whitney Hopperton. Also, Pastor Ryan could always use some extra hands setting up and tearing down for BCNs. Email Pastor Ryan if your student would like to serve on that team.
