As a student ministry, we exists to glorify God in discipling 6th through 12th grade students in the grace and truth of Jesus Christ. Our prayers for every student in our ministry is modeled after Colossians 1:10. That every student walk in a manner pleasing to the Lord in obedience to His commands, show evidence of salvation and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, and grow in knowledge of God’s Word and ways.

Weekly Events

Sunday Morning Youth BFGs

On Sunday mornings our students come together in Bible Fellowship Groups (BFGs) for time of teaching, discussion, and discipleship. Students come together for one large group teaching time and then are split up in age and gender-based groups for discussion and discipleship. The lesson material mirrors the material being presented in many of our adult BFGs. Youth BFGs are offered during both morning worship services.  Students are encouraged to sit in the worship service with their family and then participate in Youth BFGs the same service hour their parents go to adult BFGs.

Wednesday Night Youth Discipleship

On Wednesdays at 6:30, this is the time in our ministry that we focus on discipleship with students where students have specific adult leaders to act as spiritual mentors for them. There will be time for games, worship, teaching and discipleship. On Wednesday nights we will alternate between expositional series on specific books of the Bible or exegetically work through topics that our students may have questions about that are not addressed directly on a Sunday morning. Following the teaching, students break up into discipleship groups to talk about the lesson and also address the various issues that students face week to week.

This Fall we will begin with a series on the will of God, and conclude by going through the book of Esther.

It is not required for students to register for Wednesday Night Youth Discipleship

Upcoming Events

Fall Retreat

On September 16–18, the Student Ministry will be traveling to camp Schaffer for a retreat. By getting away for a weekend of Bible study, prayer, and worship, we hope to see students be more spiritually prepared to take on whatever challenges the school year may throw their way. We also expect to see the time together in worship and time in playing games and building community will act as a catalyst for discipleship that takes place within our ministry.  All students grades 6–12 are encouraged to join us. Our focus will be in the book of Philippians. We will meet at the church on Friday, September 16, at 5:00 PM, and arrive back to church Sunday at noon.  The cost is $75, which will cover all food and lodging for the weekend. If your student is in need of any financial assistance, need based scholarships are available.  Please contact Pastor Adam if you would like more information on the event or have any questions. Click here to register.

In order to attend, all parents must sign and hand in the waiver form provided below. Please make sure to attach a copy of a medical insurance card as well. You can print out the form here

Combined Student BFG Sunday

On October 23, the student ministry will combine into only one BFG. We plan on doing this a few times a year so that students will be able to see their friends who do not attend the same BFG hour as them, and be able to make new friends with students they may not know. On October 23, the student ministry will attend the 9:00 worship service together in a designated section of the worship center, and be together in the student ministry rooms for a combined BFG at 10:30.

Bonfire on the Grounds

As a way to close out the Fall semester, the student ministry will have a bonfire at the church on October 28. From 5:30–8:00, we will enjoy roasting hotdogs, making s’mores, playing games, and fellowshipping with one another as our Wednesday Night Programming comes to an end.
