Our Kid’s Ministry exists to partner with parents to lead kids to Christ and see them grow to be more like Christ. Our Kid’s Ministry is a great place for your children (K–5th Grade) to grow in Christ and to make new friends to last a lifetime! Your children will experience a loving environment with our trained team of adult and youth volunteers who are called to love, nurture, and train children for the Kingdom of God.
On Sunday mornings our kids get to experience worship and Bible Fellowship Groups with kids in their same grade. Utilizing Explore the Bible curriculum, we help kids read and study God’s Word book-by-book in a way that is fun, age-appropriate, and sustainable for a lifetime. We want to help kids practice the skills required to better read, know, and apply God’s Word.
Our Sunday Morning Schedule
- 9:00 AM Kindergarten–2nd grade will be in room 235 for Kid’s Worship; 3rd–5th grades will be in age-graded Bible Fellowship Groups
- 10:30 AM Kindergarten–5th grades will be in age-graded Bible Fellowship Groups
- All 3rd–5th graders are encouraged to attend worship with their parents and to attend BFG while their parents are in BFG. Click here to see the adult BFG schedule.
Wednesday Night Kids Discipleship
On Wednesday nights, we engage our kids through Bible Memory games and application of Bible truths as well as fun activity-based learning, all while helping your kids grow to be more like Jesus. We are on a 6-year discipleship plan that will lead your child through studies of foundational bible truths and deeper discipleship. Our Wednesday Night Discipleship is from August – October and January – April.
Year 1 – Setting the Pace – a look at Jesus and how he is the standard that we are to live up to.
Year 2 – Going Vertical – this year we will answer the questions of Is the Bible important? What’s the message of the Bible? And more.
Year 3 – Catching Air – This year we will learn to soar in God’s strength as He helps us live for Him and tell others about His love.
Year 4 – All In – As followers of Jesus, we are called to be all in as we love Him with all our heart, soul, strength and mind. We will learn to be all in through a study of key spiritual disciplines such as prayer, worship, and service.
Year 5 – Follow Through – We will answer questions about loving our neighbor, being part of a faith community, and living on mission for Jesus.
Year 6 – Level Up – We are all often challenged to reach for the next level in sports, creative hobbies, and recreation. This year we will challenge kids and leaders to reach for the next level in their faith to cultivate strength and courage that lasts for eternity.
We are currently on Year 5 in our discipleship plan. Kids do not have to join in year 1. Kids are welcomed to join us anytime in our journey. Wednesday Night Kid’s Discipleship meets from 6:30–7:45 PM.
Kids First Step
Has your child committed his or her life to Christ? Is he or she ready for baptism? Was your child baptized at a previous church and would like to become a member of Ninth & O Baptist Church? Sign up for our Kids First Step Class! This class meets at the same time as the adult First Step class in room 104 with Pastor Ryan. Breakfast will be provided. Kids from kindergarten through fifth grade are invited to participate. Pre-registration is required.
Phase Ministry
PHASE Ministry is our family discipleship ministry at NAOBC. The goal of PHASE Ministry is to partner with parents to disciple their children by equipping them to disciple their children in every phase of life.
IT’S TIME TO LEVEL UP VBS!
Spin the spinner, beat the clock, skip ahead, level up, and play to win! You’ll need to bring your A-game for this VBS. Twists & Turns is a fantastical celebration of games of all kinds. From classic tabletop games to video games and more, kids will play their way through VBS while learning that Jesus guides them through all the twists and turns of their lives. They’ll find that even when they mess up it’s never “game over.” VBS is June 5–8.
