Meet the Women of NAOBC – Bobbie Jo Underwood

On Mondays, we’ll take time to meet the women of NAOBC. Five questions followed by how you can connect with the NAOBC women on social media. Today’s interview is with Bobbie Jo Underwood.

Q: Tell us about yourself

A: My husband, Drew, two daughters, Ellie Jo and Savannah, and I moved to Louisville in June of 2019 from Campbellsville in southern Kentucky so Drew could attend seminary. I have been blessed to find a job at Louisville Family Chiropractic as their billing and finance specialist.

Q: Tell us about your time at NAOBC

A: We first came to NAOBC in July 2019. It was the first and only church we visited. We had a list of others to try out but felt right at home from beginning. We visited our BFG (YC3) our second Sunday visiting and immediately felt welcomed in and joined the BFG a few weeks later followed by joining NAOBC not too long after that.

Q: What is a fun fact that not many people would know about you?

A: I majored in music education and can play the French horn.

Q: What woman has made the most impact in your life?

A: My granny made the biggest impact on my life growing up. To me, no one knew more, could do more, or be any better than her, and that included watching how she lived her life for the Lord. She read her Bible daily, made sure I prayed at night, and even though she couldn’t drive, she’d get a ride to the church every Sunday because she knew how important it was to not only read her Bible and pray but to also be in fellowship with other Christians.

Q: What has the Lord taught you in the last year?

A: In the past year to year and a half I’ve learned to trust the Lord in His provision. From selling our home so we could move here, finding a job, a school for our oldest daughter, managing the Covid-19 situation, finding friendships…we have been having all our needs met and more.
