Meet the Women at NAOBC – Wendi Rice
On Mondays, we’ll take time to meet the women of NAOBC. Five questions followed by how you can connect with the NAOBC women on social media. Today’s interview is with Wendi Rice.
Q: Tell us about yourself
A: I am married to Greg and we just celebrated our 16th anniversary. Greg and I are both from Louisville and met at a Campus Crusade event at U of L. We have two boys, Mason (14) and Samuel (8). I was a teacher with JCPS for six years, then decided to stay home in 2010 and now homeschool our boys.
Q: Tell us about your time at NAOBC
A: We have been coming to NAOBC since August 2021. We are in the IC-6 BFG. We previously served in the Children’s Ministry with the third grade, but now I am beginning to serve by visiting a NAOBC member in a nursing home.

Q: What is a fun fact that most people wouldn’t know about you?
A: I like to read mysteries and I enjoy playing sand volleyball.
Q: What woman has made the most impact in your life?
A: When I was in college and became a Christian, there was a woman a little older than me who took me under her wing. She spent so much time with me teaching me how to study the Bible, how to pray, and demonstrated a heart to serve others as Jesus would. The way she discipled me helped me to understand what a relationship with God looked like and started me off on my sanctification journey.
Q: What is something the Lord has taught you in the last year?
A: I had lots of health issues that I dealt with this past year, and was forced to deepen in my understanding of the sovereignty of God and rest in His timing. I had to continually submit to His timing and will, and learn to rest in the knowledge that His plans are perfect.
