Meet the Women at NAOBC – Terrie Gibson

On Mondays, we’ll take time to meet the women of NAOBC. Five questions followed by how you can connect with the NAOBC women on social media. Today’s interview is with Terrie Gibson.

Q: Tell us about yourself

A: I am a pediatric nurse. I currently work as the House Supervisor at Norton Children’s Hospital. December will mark 30 years for me at NCH. In September, I will celebrate 25 years of marriage to my best friend, Tom. We have one son, Brandon, that is currently enrolled in the Respiratory Care program at JCTC with anticipating graduation in May 2023.

Q: Tell us about your time at NAOBC

A: We have been members at NAOBC for 12 years. I have served in the nursery/preschool, as well as VBS. Tom and I are active members of IC5 BFG. Up until 3 years ago, due to work, I was a member of the worship choir.

Q: What is a fun fact that most people wouldn’t know about you?

A. I am an only child and I have an only child.

Q: What woman has made the most impact in your life?

A: I have had several women that have impacted my life, but the one that has had the greatest impact is my grandmother, Evelyn. She was an AMAZING woman that loved the Lord. From a very young age, I remember her reminding me to always pray and give thanks to the Lord for everything we have because without Him we would be nothing. She loved her church and church family. She especially enjoyed cooking for all the many pastors that came through their church doors. She was a prayer warrior and loved to spend time in God’s word. In 2013 she went to be with the Lord at the sweet age of 96 years old.

Q: What is something the Lord has taught you in the last year?

A: The Lord has taught me much in the past year. Above all, He has taught me that He has perfect timing. Not my timing but His. He definitely knows what I need and when I need it most.
