Q: Tell us about yourself
A: I am 23 years old and have been a believer for about 5.5 years. I grew up in a secular home and came to faith through an invite to youth group my senior year of high school where I heard the Gospel preached faithfully and boldly. I am from the Central East Coast of Florida and moved to Louisville to come to Boyce college and my major is Global Studies. I have 3 siblings (ages 27, 22, and 7) who all live back in Florida and they are some of my best friends! I am a barista at Starbucks! My goal is to be an international missionary among unreached people groups or people living in closed countries.
Q: Tell us about your time at NAOBC
A: I’ve been at Ninth & O for about 2.5 years. I am in the College BFG and I serve in the children’s ministry and the missions team! I serve as a student leader in the college ministry and I’m the missions intern. I also lead the Hughes Rope Holding Team.

Q: What is a fun fact that most people wouldn’t know about you?
A: A fun fact about me is that my favorite animals are black bears and sharks. A funny fact about me that a lot of my friends know about me is that my favorite food is steak cooked rare!
Q: What woman has made the most impact in your life?
A: The woman that has made the most impact in my life is Ninth & O member Chanda Brown; she has poured so much wisdom and grace into my life and has done life with me as such a sweet a genuine friend and mentor. She has bore my burdens, encouraged me throughout the highs and lows of life, and has walked through so many struggles with me in the last 2.5 years! She is a faithful friend, mother, wife, and follower of Christ!
Q: What is something the Lord has taught you in the last year?
A: Something the Lord has taught me in the last year is my everlasting dependence on Him and His grace and mercy. I’ve known this since I’ve been a believer in Jesus, but this has just been emphasized so much throughout the last year while going through an abundance of struggles, financially, emotionally, and spiritually. The Lord has so graciously reminded me of the sweet truth that I can depend on Him because He is a good and reliable God who knows us and love us. A couple verses that has been on my heart throughout the last year is 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 which says, “But He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness”. Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weakness, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content in weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong”. This verse has reminded me of God’s grace towards us as His creation and the love that He has for us as His children. Jesus has saved me from so much, and I am constantly remembering, through trials and suffering, that He is just as good as the day He saved me.
