Meet the Women at NAOBC – Melanie Horrell
On Mondays, we’ll take time to meet the women of NAOBC. Five questions followed by how you can connect with the NAOBC women on social media. Today’s interview is with Melanie Horrell.
Q: Tell us about yourself
A: I have been married to Ryan for 22 years and we have five children: Elizabeth, 16; Emma, 13; Andrew, 10; Rebecca, 7; and Luke, 6. I am a stay-at-home, homeschooling mom. I have been homeschooling for 10 years.
Q: Tell us about your time at NAOBC
A: We have been at NAOBC for 22 months and my husband and I are part of the IC4 BFG class. I serve in the Kindergarten BFG class.

Q: What is a fun fact that most people wouldn’t know about you?
A: Something people may not know about me is that I spent 7.5 years living in England because my dad was serving in the military.
Q: What woman has made the most impact in your life?
A: The woman who has made the biggest impact in my life is Judy Willis. We used to teach together many years ago and she had such a passion for the Lord. She was very kind and encouraging to me as I was starting as a full-time teacher.
Q: What is something the Lord has taught you in the last year?
A: The Lord has taught me so many things in the last year, but I think the biggest thing is to trust Him in all circumstances because everything that happens is for His glory and our good.
Melanie isn’t on social media, but you can find her in the worship service at 9am or in IC4 BFG teaching Kindergarten BFG during the 10:30am hour.
