Meet the Women at NAOBC – Linda Alster

On Mondays, we’ll take time to meet the women of NAOBC. Five questions followed by how you can connect with the NAOBC women on social media. Today’s interview is with Linda Alster.

Q: Tell us about yourself

A: My husband, Robin and I have one daughter who lives not far from us. My mother lives with us.

Q: Tell us about your time at NAOBC

A: I have been a member of NAOBC for two and a half years. We love our BFG. I have served in VBS and Love the Ville.

Q: What is a fun fact that most people wouldn’t know about you?

A: It is a real treat for me to go out on a big sail boat.

Q: What woman has made the most impact in your life?

A: It is hard to settle on one just one woman who has made an impact on my life. When I was 19 years old I had an Sunday School teacher who not only was an inspiring bible teacher, but also took a personal interest in each girl in her class. She spent time with us outside of church and was a person who always had time to listen. Mrs. Riley was a wise, older friend to me.

Q: What is something the Lord has taught you in the last year?

A: The Lord has taught me how to be more dependent on Him . I don’t have to carry so much of the load. He gives me the emotional and physical strength when I need it and has let me see it is OK to let others help when they offer.
