Meet the Women at NAOBC – Kim McAloon
On Mondays, we’ll take time to meet the women of NAOBC. Five questions followed by how you can connect with the NAOBC women on social media. Today’s interview is with Kim McAloon.
Q: Tell us about yourself
A: I am married to Joe McAloon. We have 3 children, David (8 yrs), Thomas (6 yrs), Merideth (3yrs). I am a homemaker and homeschool mom. My husband works for Humana and I am a born and raised Kentuckian. :)
Q: Tell us about your time at NAOBC
A: We joined NAOBC in 2017, so four years. BFG for four years. I have served in preschool, VBS, Community Group leader for our BFG, I have planned/led Bible studies for our BFG and I will be serving on Wednesday evenings with the K-5th graders now. I have served in other random ways as well.

Q: What is a fun fact that most people wouldn’t know about you?
A: I love to play volleyball and in college I spent a lot of time on summer/fall mission trips overseas, one in which I met my husband.
Q: What woman has made the most impact in your life?
A: Lisa Matteucci has made the most lengthy influence on my life. She is a mentor to me and has been involved in my life for 10 years now. I met her through another church and we have stayed connected.
Q: What is something the Lord has taught you in the last year?
A: The Lord has been teaching me to continue to take the log out of my own eye before taking the speck out of someone else’s. He continues to remind me to be slow to speak and quick to listen. I am constantly reminded these last two years of Galatians 1:10 “For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.” Christ continues to remind me to have confidence in His word and to not fear man. The Lord is so good and so kind and has blessed me immensely. There is too much to share of all that He is teaching me, this just scrapes the surface. He continues to press into my heart and mind how important it is to serve His kingdom faithfully and to praise Him for all things.
