Meet the Women at NAOBC – Kelly Seebold
On Mondays, we’ll take time to meet the women of NAOBC. Five questions followed by how you can connect with the NAOBC women on social media. Today’s interview is with Kelly Seebold.
Q: Tell us about yourself
A: I’ve been married to Matthew for 23 years. We have three children, Austin (18), just graduated high school, Meghan (14), will be a freshman this fall and Lydia (12), will be in the 8th grade.
Q: Tell us about your time at NAOBC
A: Our membership story is a little complicated! I was a member here for about the first 24 years of my life and Matthew and I were members for a few years of our married life. We started visiting again in May 2022 and officially became members again in August 2022. We are in Ring/Amyx’s BFG. My husband and I both serve as Community Group Leaders in our BFG, and I also serve in the nursery.

Q: What is a fun fact that most people wouldn’t know about you?
A: I am a fourth generation member of NAOBC and now raising the fifth here as well!
Q: What woman has made the most impact in your life?
A: My mom has made a huge impact on my life. She and my dad both made sure that we stayed active at church. I watched her sacrifice her time for many years as she cared for her parents before they passed away and now has been my dad’s caregiver for many years as well, since he is disabled. She selflessly gives her time to care for him (and so many others!) and she does an amazing job. Her love for others has most certainly been impactful not only to me, but to so many others as well. My parents have also been married for 54 years and watching them handle their struggles and triumphs in a Biblical way has been a huge example for us.
Q: What is something the Lord has taught you in the last year?
A: Over the last year, the Lord has most definitely reminded me of the importance of community. We loved our previous church, but relationships just naturally changed and evolved over the last several years, leaving us feeling somewhat alone and a bit isolated. Coming back to NAOBC has been the biggest blessing, not only for me, but our entire family. The church has shown us the importance of being intentional in building relationships.
