Meet the Women at NAOBC – Jan Kimzey

On Mondays, we’ll take time to meet the women of NAOBC. Five questions followed by how you can connect with the NAOBC women on social media. Today’s interview is with Jan Kimzey.

Q: Tell us about yourself

A: I retired from Frito-Lay after 35 years. I’m married to Ken. We have a Son and Daughter and one Granddaughter.

Q: Tell us about your time at NAOBC

A: We have been members at Ninth & 0 for 22 years. I served on the Personnel Committee for several years, and now serve on the Finance Committee. My Husband Ken and I are members of AC3 BFG, and I have been on the fellowship committee for our BFG for years.

Q: What is a fun fact that most people wouldn’t know about you?

A: A fun fact about me that some people would not know is that my name before I was married was Bible

Q: What woman has made the most impact in your life?

A: I have had so many women that have made an impact in my life, but the one that l have to say made the most impact and led me to my Christianity was my dear sweet Mother. She was a wonderful Mother, and loved Jesus with everything in her. She was always helping at church in one capacity or another. She raised me as a single Mother as my Father passed away at 42 years old. She is now with the Lord as I lost her when she was 70 years old.

Q: What is something the Lord has taught you in the last year?

A: In the last few years I have learned more about letting go, and letting God. I tend to be a “worrier” , and I am now trying to pray harder and LET GOD.
