Meet the Women at NAOBC – Ginger Wilkinson
On Mondays, we’ll take time to meet the women of NAOBC. Five questions followed by how you can connect with the NAOBC women on social media. Today’s interview is with Ginger Wilkinson.
Q: Tell us about yourself
A: My only son and daughter-in-law have twins born 8/23/2022. Accepting my son’s attitude about not having children, I never expected to be a grandma; so since that obviously changed, I have been overjoyed with these precious babies and the privilege and absolute delight to be a primary-care giver! This radical change also increased my faith that God can change hearts and minds about other (eternal) things of concern!
Q: Tell us about your time at NAOBC
A: NAOBC has been a blessing to me since joining in January 2013, drawn by the pastoral prayers that also teach us how to pray, biblical preaching with challenging application, emphasis on missions, and the variety of nations represented in the children’s choirs! I serve as a greeter in the front lobby, as well as missions rep for AC3 BFG. In the past, as able, I’ve served in VBS, adult choir, and Love the Ville. The trip to Ecuador has been my only mission trip so far with NAOBC.

Q: What is a fun fact that most people wouldn’t know about you?
A: I have done numerous mission trips with a variety of organizations (24 mission trips to 17 countries with 10 organizations so far). I’m also a chaplain with KY Disaster Relief and currently serve as a volunteer remote admin assistant for OMF (Overseas Mission Fellowship started by Hudson Taylor in China—lots of options for others to get involved at https://omf.org).
Q: What woman has made the most impact in your life?
A: The woman that has had the most impact on my life (besides my faithful mom, obviously) is probably Beth Moore. Her studies and passion for God’s word are an inspiration. She was certainly God’s timely provision for me as she came into my life in a particularly difficult season.
Q: What is something the Lord has taught you in the last year?
A: This past year the Lord has taught me the incredible fierceness of the spiritual battle continually coming against children of every age, from every side, in every nation. I’ve been surprised, shocked, repulsed, annoyed, sickened, and angered at the audacity of Satan and the world. This is no time for lethargy! We must be diligent to fight on our knees and speak up in our spheres of influence! Yes, we are told things will get worse before Jesus returns, but He Who is in us is greater and desires fervent prayers of the righteous to avail much anyway!! Please join me in travailing to avail much on behalf of all children, especially those we know and love, as well as those who have no one praying for them!
