Meet the Women at NAOBC – Adriana Boyd

On Mondays, we’ll take time to meet the women of NAOBC. Five questions followed by how you can connect with the NAOBC women on social media. Today’s interview is with Adriana Boyd.

Q: Tell us about yourself

A: I’m Brennan’s bride and Miriam’s mama! I was raised in Caracas, Venezuela as a missionary kid until I moved to Arizona for college in 2010. I am grateful for my parents and two younger sisters. I miss living near them as we are all scattered in different countries currently. I was a bilingual teacher for seven years. I am a full-time mama now which is my dream job!

Q: Tell us about your time at NAOBC

A: Ninth and O has been our home since we moved to Louisville in the summer of 2020. I am part of the Women’s BFG and could not have asked for a better group of ladies to grow spiritually with.

Q: What is a fun fact that most people wouldn’t know about you?

A: One of my favorite movies is Gladiator. It’s pretty hard not to love a movie that starts with, “What we do on Earth echoes in Eternity.”

Q: What woman has made the most impact in your life?

A: My Mom has absolutely made the biggest impact on my life. She is kind and tender. She loves the Lord and seeks Him in everything she does. Her faithfulness as a missionary for more than 30 years amazes me. Recently I have also been struck by how gracefully she transitions from one season of life to the next- it’s not an easy thing to do! She truly is the Proverbs 31 woman and I keep hoping I’ll be just like her when I grow up.

Q: What is something the Lord has taught you in the last year?

A: The Lord is teaching me how I can glorify Him by doing ordinary things. Motherhood has completely changed what I consider to be a “successful” day. God continues to show me how my worth is wrapped up in Christ instead of how much I can accomplish. It’s wonderful to just praise Him throughout the day instead of focusing on myself and how little I’m probably “getting done” with a one year old running around. Pouring into her is an incredible calling!
