Don’t Let Perfection Kill Growth

Peter ends his second letter with the admonishment to “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” We grow as we abide in Christ and in his Word, and it’s helpful to have a reading plan to read through Scripture. Yet, completing the program is not the point. The goal is to grow in Christlikeness by spending time with God. We want to create habits, not checkoff lists. So don’t let falling behind on a plan keep you from spending time with Jesus in his Word.
